HANDYCONCEPT, PRODUCT DESIGN AND MAKING, CAMPAIGN

Made with Sara Hilterman and Camila Trapasso
This project challenges prevailing societal norms and taboos associated with sexual self-discovery and intimacy. We came up with the concept and created a hand-shaped sex toy called HANDY, with the aim of empowering individuals, to break free from stigmas. We want to encourage people to freely explore their desires through an innovative and familiar yet unexplored object. The project is a call for change towards unashamed self-exploration.

HANDY challenges the confines of societal norms and taboos. Created in the familiar shape of a hand, it is a revolutionary step toward promoting sexual autonomy and self-discovery, with a particular focus on empowering women who have long endured societal judgment and restrictions regarding their sexuality.

This innovative product is designed to be inclusive, catering to both experienced individuals and first-time users. Its hand-like appearance offers a comforting and non-intimidating feel, inviting everyone to explore their desires without hesitation. Behind this welcoming look, lies a world of possibilities, with numerous ways to use HANDY, ensuring an experience that's as unique as the user themselves.

HANDY is the result of a deep research not only about sexual freedom in today’s world but also regarding rules of censorship online (especially social media platforms) and how to find loopholes that allow to promote a sex toy to the adequate target audience, in an educational manner.
